Arlu sunglasses are made from plastic collected by hand along Wellington’s beaches and tracked through the Sustainable Coastlines' Litter Intelligence Programme.

The plastic is processed and handcrafted in Miramar, Wellington, using a plastic injection machine and hand-finishing techniques — making every pair unique and built to last.

Each pair features polarised lenses, simplified single-screw arms for extra durability, and full UVA400 protection. And with our Re:Arlu take-back scheme, broken frames can be repaired or fully recycled into a new pair — because waste deserves a second life.
